Paul Dorrell’s new book—Living the Artist’s Life, Updated & Revised—is out. His first signing on his tour of 35 cities will be at Unity Temple on the Plaza, September 24th at 7:00, sponsored by Rainy Day Books. Here’s a link to the event.
This is an updated/expanded version of the original, with new information on how to create a successful career in the arts. Paul also covers how his gallery survived the recession, winning clients like the Kansas City Chiefs, Saint Luke’s Hospital, and scores of private collectors.
He also discusses the Regional Renaissance now unfolding in the Midwest, the importance of philanthropy through art, corrupt causes of the recession and how artists can cope with it, building websites, writing contracts, approaching galleries, etc.
Paul will conduct a brief seminar during his signing and will answer questions. Rainy Day is charging $14.95 for admission, which pays for one book and admission for two. You can buy tickets online or at the event.
This is going to be an entertaining and information-filled evening. We hope you can join Paul and other artists from the region for this great event, to be followed by signings in San Francisco, New York, Miami, and other major cities.
