CALL FOR ARTISTS: HUNT FAMILY, CHIEFS BEGINNING KANSAS CITY CHIEFS ART PROGRAM
The Hunt family and the Kansas City Chiefs are issuing a call for artists to kick off the Kansas City Chiefs Art Program. This initiative will support the celebration of regional art originally announced by Chiefs Chairman and CEO Clark Hunt as part of the club’s plans to celebrate the Chiefs 50th year in Kansas City.
In conjunction with leading members of the Kansas City business and arts communities, the Hunt family and the Chiefs will assemble a world-class collection of artwork in select spaces at Arrowhead Stadium produced by artists from the surrounding region including Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska, Iowa, Oklahoma and Arkansas.
Artists working in all media and galleries are welcome to submit. There are no restrictions regarding size, theme or method and artists are encouraged to submit pieces surrounding regional and cultural themes beyond the scope of sports and entertainment. The only restriction is that submitting artists must have participated in at least one juried show, and must have exhibited with at least one gallery. All submissions must be postmarked by 9/8/12.
