Job Description Overview:
The Development and Communications Manager is a key position that provides critical fund raising/development and marketing/communications strategy, planning, and implementation. In addition, the position manages relationships with current donors and audiences, and identifies, engages and cultivates prospects to support the work of CSF through their active participation in and contributions to the organization. While we view this work as interrelated, approximately two-thirds time will be spent on fund raising/development and one-third on communications and marketing.
The primary focus of this position is to research and prepare grant proposals and reports. Currently CSF has approximately 25 institutional foundation, corporate and government funders with the potential to expand. Another important area of expansion is individual contributions. At the core of the fund raising program is CSF’s Artists Matter Society (AMS), a group of multi-year individual contributors. The communications/marketing aspects of the job are focused primarily on preparing materials for, managing, and implementing all communications tactics including Charlotte Street’s website, blogs, e-newsletters, social media, printed materials, and media relations. The Development and Communications Manager position is supported by part-time assistance in graphic design, data management, and social media. Deadline for Application: July 6, 2015
