PLUG Projects is looking for artists interested in having their work critiqued and talked about. PLUG PROJECTS hosts Critique Nights in between exhibitions at their 1613 Genessee space in the West Bottoms of Kansas City, MO. The goal of this series is to encourage open discussion of artists’ work and to activate both the artist and audience in engaged dialogue that will provoke artistic growth and the public’s engagement.
The 2012-1013 Critique Nights are moderated by the Kansas City artist and KCAI professor Corey Antis, accompanied by a small rotating panel of artists and art professionals in the community who participate in dialogue with local artists about their work, which is displayed in the gallery space live for the crit. Up to three artists are chosen to participate in each crit night. Each artist is asked to bring no more than five works for discussion. Critique Nights are free and open to the public!
To submit your work for crit night, send your web site to email@example.com, and a short message expressing your interest in Crit Night. If you have specific questions about your work or would like to focus the discussion on anything specific, please include that information along with your submission email. Artists not selected for the previous crit nights will automatically be considered for the remaining crit nights for the year.
